Why is that, by definition, a bad thing? It's a rugged device that's
been designed (primarily for a specific market) to do one thing well.
In many ways, it's the logical next step the Emate might have taken;
lower cost, more durable (the smaller screen is probably less prone to
damage), and it does the few tasks that it needs to do well. (Licensing
the Palm OS for the device was probably less expensive than building
one from the ground up.) Not a bad idea by any means.
