SIR (Slow IrDA) is 115200 kbit/sec maximum. But that is only the raw
speed. The protocol overhead is quite heavy: frames (2k in size for
OBEX, 512 bytes for IrCOMM) are sent in turns (IrDA is half-duplex),
time between turns is 0.5 seconds. So ideally, you'd be able to
transfer 2 * 2k per second.

It is still quite usable, but you should maybe not use it to transfer
MP3 files...
