Julie,

If you have the jaggies (or at least a bad case like I did) you'll know
because anything
you try to write will come out like strange scribbled characters no
matter how careful
  you are with your printing. Doug had posted on Newtontalk that he was
trying a new
method of correcting the Jaggies (the known way was to disassemble your
Newton
and shave the inside of the plastic casing next to the screen). Doug
asked for volunteers
who had a newt to be fixed with no assurance that it would work but
that he would try to
fix it for the cost of the shipping. I took him up on his offer and it
worked for me.
