    The 110, 120, 130 Newts have quite good battery life. And they're easy
to get batteries for if you have to use alkalines.
    The OMP/MP100 Newts eat batteries. I found good quality alkalines lasted
the longest, but those machines take AAA cells and those aren't cheap.
Rechargables were sucked dry in days.
    Also, if you plan to use cells other than the Newton pack you need a
not-so-easy-to-find-now battery cage.
    Get granddad a 130 _ he may actually use it.
