Hi Folks,
I've just recovered my motherboard so The Green Edge will launch in
time. Since I am into making a newton magazine, I want to dig
networking better. I've got some money left on a paypal acc. I thought
about the following setup:
* Some wireless router plugged into my cable modem.
* A PCMCIA 802.11 card on my newton 2000.
* A Ethernet card on my newt, so I can hook onto my college network.
Can someone spent a cent or two and tell me good trusted and
extremeally cheap routers and cards that work with the newt?
Also, where I live (Brazil) is common to encounter the following setup
called "Predial Internet", it's like this every computer on a building
got a Ethernet adapter, they plug them all on a big hub/switch, put a
WiFi spot on the top of the building and use peer-to-peer networks to
drive the data to the ISP. Is it possible to hijack a connection with a
802.11 card? (I am paying for their water, so they pay me for my
internet ;-) )
Cheers
