Matt,

Make sure to send it to Victor as well, we really need it on UNNA.

Oh, and many thanks for your hard work - I'll enjoy it!

Subject: [NTLK] The MessagePad 2100 Owner's Manual (PKG format) is complete!

Hello Everyone:

The NewtonBook version of the MessagePad 2100 Owner's Manual is finished!
Although it is a text-only version, great pains were taken to optimize
readability. The total file size is approximately 720k -- not too shabby
for a 259
page technical document!

The document is available in MP 2100 Portrait or Universal modes.
Here are a few details:

1) Bold text was used to designate specific commands in the manual, such
as,
"Tap {b}New{b} to open a new file."

2) Quotation marks, italics, and other formatting were used, to help make
each line of instructions as clear as possible.

3) Numbered steps and individual sub-topics are highlighted in bold text
and
spaced apart, for clarity

4) A table of contents lists every chapter and (most) sub-topics. To view
the TOC, tap the "Overview" (the equal sign / dot thingie in the lower right

corner of your screen).

I sent an e-mail to http://dev.newtontalk.net/, asking them to please post
the document for free access by the Newton community. If you can't wait for

them to post it, shoot me an e-mail, and I'll get a copy into your hot
little
hands.

Note: There were one or two bugaboos within the imported RTF document that
kept causing my NewtonPress application to crash, which is why I omitted one
or
two sub-topics in the TOC. However, the finished NewtonBook reads just
fine.
:O)
