Ok, the trick was running multiple instances of slowdown. I also changed
the fifo settings as recommended in an archived email.
I'll try that Nitro software.
Now to figure out why my 3Com 3c589d card wont work. When I insert the
card, the light on the dongle lights up for a second and then turns off. I
followed the instructions at:
http://www.chuma.org/newton/ethernet/instructions.shtml
Internet setup is set for dhcp but it appears that the card is not staying
powered. I've tried in both card slots with same results.
