<<Hello,
I am getting an eMate tomorrow and I've read all the stories about the hinge
repair, so I think I'm ready to do that.
My only question is, for lubrication, could I use something like Hammond
Organ oil? I don't have any grease laying around the house (though,
obviously, I could get some. But, if I did, should I just get general grease
or any special kind?), so I didn't know if Hammond Oil would work instead.
thanks much

I use Hoppes gun oil, one drop per hinge spring. It makes the display _much_
easier to move.
I would guess that white lithium grease(usually available at hardware
stores) would be very good for this application. One container will lube
your eMate for several centuries...
