Hi,

I'm about to snap up Frank Grundel's latest reconditioned e-mate. Before I do
so though I thought it fair to tell the list because I already have an emate
(and a 130 and a 2100 - all bought from Frank - I know quality when I see it).
Emates are light and durable as all get out with a very quiet keyboard and a
larger screen than even a 2100! I literally have colleaagues admiring the fine
design and asking me where I got this snazzy new computer. I sort of say "well,
its only black and white..." and then use the touch screen... Heh. It looks
really good. The plastic is translucent and the design is a sweet mix of
streamlining art deco and ergonomic function.

Anyway, more about the emate. The emate has a bigger screen than even the 2100
- the aspect ratio is the same as the 120! So you never have to squint. The
backlight is powerful and quiet. (and Frank also replaces backlights). And if
you don't like anti-reflective coating (which on the emate is much nicer than
the 2100) just ask - Franke stripped the reflective coating on my 130 and 2100
(um, no actually he did not charge me a cent extra).

Anyway, Frank's tossing in a keyspan adapter, a powersupply, and a memory
upgrade at a price that really makes me ashamed. I think his price just for the
barebones emate was 140 euros. Before I take advantage of Frank is there anyone
out there who does not have an emate and who wants one?

Anyway, if anyone actually wanted a warranty or money back guarantee from Frank
I'm sure he would be willing to include that. I realize shipping from Europe
isn't cheap but quality workmanship justifies his price (which, at least in
euros is *very* reasonable).

So, before I snap it up anyone out there who wants a reconditioned emate?
