The whole "jam the switch in the 'On' position originated with my
MP110. It simply refused to turn on, no matter what I did, including
leaving it powerless and idle. I can't remember who, but someone on
this list suggested doing that I *think* to drain the capacitors.

Most likely wrong on that though, electrical engineering wasn't my
best subject...
