I'm having the same problem with my MP2100, tried everything, but if you
draw lines from left to right (in portrait mode) there goes someting
wrong. On the upper edge of the screen its exactly lined up with the
pen, but in the middle of the screen there's already a difference of up
to 12 or more pixels. If you go down to the bottom it's only 5-7 pixels.
The real problem, which makes it impossible to get good recognition, is
that you are unable to write without moving more and more downwards like
on unlined paper.

Any thoughts how to cure this problem?!?

This units screen is in really bad condition so I thought it was caused
by the hard use and bought a cheap MP2000U in superb condition. But
yours is still in mint condition as you said...

Regards,
Manu

PS: The old unit is my NPDS server now. ;-)
