Anyone else having problems doing this in Panther (10.3.2)? Ever since
I installed Panther, I've been having oodles of problems with Classic
apps: Since I use my Newt daily for note taking and paper writing, this
has been an inconvenience to say the least. Classes will be restarting
soon, and I'll need to get those notes to the desktop! :)

What happens is essentially this: NCU runs fine (and all other
functions work okay) but when I try to import or export, after
selecting the document, NCU says "Closing connection" and then NCU just
shuts down. No error message, and no document transferred. I've tried
reinstalling NCU to no avail...

One other thing about my Classic setup: I'm still using 9.1, because
I'm just lazy and never bothered to update the 11 million times I was
urged to under Jaguar. Now, however, when in Classic under Panther, I
*cannot* upgrade - clicking on the icons from a mounted image of the
9.2 updater CD does nothing. And I mean nothing!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
