Re: [NTLK] MIDI Stationery MIDIX & Geek Factor

I am using MIDIX with a Mini Macman adapter from Midiman (very small/1in
1out), controlling Yamaha XG tone generator (700+ voices and effects/same
foot print as the newt). Yes, MIDIX seems to handle XG midi just fine
(Yamaha proprietary MIDI format).

<GEEK FACTOR>, like to take newt/midix/adapter set-up into high end piano
shops and ask to hook up to a Steinway 11 foot concert grand/player system.
No troubles so far and neat when all the employees and patrons gather
around.

MIDIX is also great for doing simple sequencing (recording of midi) from a
digital keyboard.

One small complaint (and not even that), MIDIX does not seem to control Midi
adapter through SER-001, so just using the dongle. Ring in Dave if your
there.

There's a MIDI Stationery for the NOS2.0 devices on UNNA:
http://toronto.unna.org/unna/utilites/notes_enhancements/MIDIX/

Is anyone using this? How useful is it?
