[NTLK] Interesting observation on Newton books

As we all know, I keep my Newton books on a seperate
16mb card (if you don't know this, then you aren't
paying attention). Well, last Friday, I accidently
left the card with my books on it at work (I unplug
the card to insert my network card to download
packages and email into my Newt)
Well, I read my Newton books at night (my wife can
sleep with the lights turned off and I can read my
Newton with the backlight). And found out too late
that I didn't have my book. This was frustrating
because I was well into a Stephenson book (Zodiac) and
wanted to continue reading it. So, I went into the
computer room, plugged my Newton into the spare NIC
and proceeded to download it again into my newt
(http://newton.tek-ed.com...click on the books link at
the bottom of the page...or if your browser supports
redirects, you can go to
http://newton.tek-ed.com/books and it SHOULD redirect
you to the dynamic page of books...) I had resolved
myself to the task that once the book downloaded, I
would then have to find the place where I left
off...probably a half an hour of searching...not a
pleasant chore...
Once the book was loaded, and placed on my 32mb app
memory card, I opened the book and lo-and-behold, the
book opened up to the place where I last read! This
tells me that the book mark is stored in some location
in the system soup? And it was holding this "bookmark"
even though the book was no longer "installed" on the
Newt (the card was unmounted thereby "uninstalling"
the book as well)
So, does this mean that the Newt holds book marks
automatically for ALL books? And if I delete the book,
will the bookmarks for the book be deleted also? Or
will I need to go through the soup eventually and
manually remove these other book entries?
