Well first off check your FIFO buffers are set to the lowest setting (look
in the hardware manager under the serial port properties then hit the
advanced buttion, if the lowest setting does not work try the next to
lowest).

Next check that listening is inded on, if it says it is, turn it off, close
NCU, open it back up, turn back on listening, and close NCU again. Then
open it back up and try connecting. It could be that for some reason the
setting was not saved properly and at times it thinks that listning is not
on. Another thing to check is make sure that other software is not trying
to use that port at the same time as NCU. Drawing tablets for example "lock
up" a port by constantly commuicating with it, and NCU won't be able to run
with the tablet driver active.

And finally you do have the 57k pkg installed on the 2100 and have that
selected in the dock as the speed to use (I only ask this as I somtimes
forget to change the speed after doing testing or such).
