These applications are in the ROM so they don't use any available
storage memory and very little heap.
On a new eMate you would often have a couple of tour or guide
applications which can be deleted. You can also get a memory upgrade,
sometimes available on ebay or this list and PCBman's upgrade is a good
choice as well.
A non-upgraded eMate is still a very usable Newton and has about 2Mg of
storage ram and about 1 Mg of system memory (heap).
