This is, well, of course not normal, but literally every Newton I have
ever had on my workbench had this. It seems that the fellows who
designed
the main logic board made about a millimeter of mistake.
Things are easier if you do not fasten the screws all the way, but only
put them in about halfways. That way the mainboard can still move a bit
when putting in the screw in question. Once all five are securely
threaded
in, they can be fastened.
