If you're not missing the tip and just want to resurface it, run it very
lightly over a clean, fine, nail file. Spin the stylus as you run it over the
file to be sure every curved surface is touched, sort of like you might spin a
pencil in a pencil sharpener as you sharpen it, and as you spin it, angle the
stylus to lightly grind all surfaces of the nib.
Finish off with a few polishing burnishings across a clean piece of white
paper to get the tip nice and smooth again.
I used to have a piece of grit embedded in mine. This process got rid of it.
