Re: [NTLK] Data - 'Soup'? beaming - no such choice...

There must be something that I am not getting......

I have a big card to which I back up. When I back up, I have a 4 MB
card ('the old card') with packages and their information (as far as
I can control it) on the card. When I tap Backup in Card for the big
card, I can choose to backup Information (checkboxed for individual
types, I check Gourmet) and 'backup all packages'. When I tap
'Backup' things happen, and the card informs that a backup has taken
place.

- does this constitute a backup of the old card?

I then exchange the old card for the compact flash card, and set it
to save new info and packages; and in Card tap 'restore' on the big
card. I can restore Information (I select Gourmet) and packages (I
select nothing; the packages have been beamed). I tap restore. The
Newton warns me that information will be replaced. It worries me,
because I interpret it as 'only the selected restore information will
be on your Newton after you have done this', but from what I have
read on the list and elsewhere, this is not what happens.. So I OK,
and things happen and I am asked to restart. After the restart, there
is still no recipie information in Gourmet, and no information in the
storage - soup(?) Gourmet:primordial.

What am I doing wrong?
