I read somewhere that the author Thomas Bednarz has been ill. Perhaps
that has something to do with the fact that the site is offline.

Anyway, full WebDAV support is built into Panther. In fact, .Mac switched
over to full WebDAV earlier this year - that's why I have to use Goliath
to access my iDisk on my OS 9 boxen. Yes, Goliath is faster than Apple's
Finder-level implementation, but you still should be able to do it.

In fact, you can even enable WebDAV server-side under Panther:
