Hello Fleming (Is that your real name?),
I recently started using X-Port with PhotoShow, which allows me to import
(small) .bmp images into the Newton. I think it can handle .PICT as well, but
have not tried it; I know PhotoShow comes with some demo files in that format.

I hear folks can upload and view .JPEG files directly to their Newtons via
Internet. I've not tried this myself, though.
