Let's remember, Paragraph was responsible for the
cursive recognizer while the 'Rosetta' print
recognizer was done in-house at Apple. The print
recognizer, by most estimates, is far superior at
doing its job than the cursive one.

I spoke to a Paragraph employee in Russia back around
2000 and he said, under condition of anonymity, that
the work they were currently doing for the CE
platform, and the CE platform's capacity for true
"inking" in general was not even remotely close to
what the Newton offered. This is not news to me, but
I felt I would share it.
