Probably not... but it won't hurt to try. I've tried it without
success. The problem is that the proper pins on both ends of the cable
must be connected... just having the correct physical interface i.e.:
having plugs that match, isn't enough. Each pin on the Newton plug must
connect to the correct pin on the DB9 connection. It would be too much
of a coincidence if the Palm/Newton cable interface was identical.
