during some discussions, years ago, about GNUton, i recall you being
fairly dismissive of this option. IIRC, you much prefered the tight
mapping between the OS and the runtime environment of the messagepads.
have you changed your opinion of the value of a POSIX OS basis? or is
this just a pragmatic option?
