If you're interested in learning how to program, learn
a programming language... ANY programming language. I
read a essay based on Perl code and completely
understood it, but I don't know any Perl.

I don't know how difficult NewtonScript is to learn,
but you may want to search for a Tutorial on Google.
That, and a good reference manual, are enough to set
you on your way to being able to program.
