Thanks to the several replies that I got on this subject. One person
sent me a link off-list to:

http://philly.unna.org/view.php?/drivers/printer/2x00epson

Which is a driver for Epson ESC P2 printers. The S2tylus 740 is supposed
to be compatible (at least the manual says it is an ESC P2 printer).

Unfortunately, using both my MP130 and MP2100, I get either no apparent
output to the printer accompanied by a neverending dialog box on the
Newton side, or a flashing light on the printer with no output. I am
using a standard IWII cable from the MP130, the same one that I use to
print from my PB1400 to the Epson, so cabling is not an issue.

The search for a solution continues...
