I've been working on something to read these cards in a Linux machine.
Unfortunately it's still in the infant stages and I have other things
I must work on also. If you have access to a Linux machine running
Kernel 2.4.28 and can enable MTD on it you can do a dd of the card to
save the information from it. If you can do this send me the image of
the card and I may be able to determine why it stopped working (no
promises). Someone with more low level experience on the Newton (or me
in time) may be able to create a utility that can read/repair these
defective cards on a Newton (or at least recover some data before you
have to erase it).
