The question I have is wether anyone else has ever gotten this card
to work. I saw it as having "worked" on the wireless driver's
homepage and went ahead and bought one for a cheap price.
The Newton recognized it as a wireless card and I setup everything as
it should be. Sadly, it doesn't seem to work at all. When I try to
connect to a website via Newtscape of Nethopper it either stops with
an error that there was no response from the DHCP server (when using
a DHCP setup). Or, when using a manual IP, it will stop with a 'no
DNS server response' error when trying to go to another site.
I then tried to go to my web server that is on my LAN with a direct
IP, to bypass DNS. It then says there was a connection problem when
trying to connect. My server doesn't register that anything tried to
connect.
I've downloaded the NIE v4 patch and the 'More Wi-fi' package and the
LanternPatch from Kallisys in order to try to solve this problem.
Has anyone gotten this card to work, or is it a lost cause?
