Sorry Justin I can only help you on part of your request.

I have never owned a Palm so I can only go on the reasons why I never
purchased one or a Pocket PC; if anyone else has first hand experience to
share then please step in:

Likes:

1. Screen size is practicable for note taking.
2. Natural handwriting recognition when there are no jaggies is absolutely
wonderful. Having said that, I have unconsciously improved my handwriting
style as time has passed but only by 10% or so. No need to learn new
gestures for each letter as for Graffiti.
3. 2 PCMCIA slots enable all sorts of expandability: DUN, storage,
bluetooth and wifi.
4. The GUI is really well thought out. Not that many taps to get around.
The gestures are quite intuitive and become second nature after a while and
using another GUI becomes quite annoying. Its fun to use.
5. A lot of abandonware/freeware software.
6. Batteries can be flat for years but data seems to be preserved.
7. Uses standard AA batteries when using the battery tray. Can't enumerate
the number of times this has helped me out while on the road without a
charger.

Dislikes:

1. Desktop connectivity is dated. I'm on a PC so serial connections are
unreliable because today's machines are too quick. Synchronisation with MS
Outlook is problematic.
2. Backups from one data card to another is more difficult than it should
be.
3. Uses expensive Linear flash ram storage cards but Paul's ATA software
works and I have yet to experience any data loss yet.
4. Sometimes a bit big for carrying everywhere. But then I have a leather
case for it and it ends up being about the same size as a fully kitted out
A5 Franklin Day Planner paper diary.

HTH

Warm regards

I mean sure there nice but what
are some really cool features of the Newton 2100 that are so much better
then the Newton 110 and a Palm Pilot?
