Thanks for your research on my behalf!

Which is of course the problem here. We're talking
about hundreds of files in my case, and I'd like to spare
me the hassle of exporting them via Windows to a viable
Mac format, only to discover umlauts aren't supported
(oh yes, I've seen it happening). My picture books done
in CorelDraw 4.0 wouldn't take that well. There seems
to be no way around some pain here which can easily
build up to utter terror if only the translation process
breaks down in a seemingly tiny, yet important area.

Strangely enough, this seems hardly to be a problem
with the file formats relevant to me. CorelDraw 6.0 (which is otherwise
one of the worst programs I've ever seen) reads version 4.0 documents
with ease and runs on XP; the last version I got in contact with (10.0) seemed to
do the trick as well, but I'm not entirely sure, I haven't tested it enough.

No, not really. But who might know what I might fall for with the
appropriate equipment at hand? ;-)

Thanks again for your reply!

Best,

Marcus
