Obviously the interconnect port should be locked on its plugging....but
pardon me Frank,
i just intended to ask about using altogether the two serial port (mac
8din + DB9) in the back of the Freedock.

If i understand well, the DB9 "extension" works the same as a Ser-001?

Thanks again
Adriano

No, it is not. It is simply an extension of the
interconnect port's serial interface pins (amplified
by the driver chip).=20

Nope. Even if the FreeDock's serial port WAS=20
independent, you wouldn't be able to access the=20
Newton's interconnect port because it is currently
plugged into the FreeDock ;-)
