A most noble project!

The light goes on, and then what -- you still get the error, like
before the reboot?

Another idea I just had - have you tried with changing slots? Don't
forget you also have to change the Blunt setup. I faintly remember that
some cards don't work in some slots (e.g. some Wifi only worky in upper
slot, or something). Doesn't apply to my US-MP 2100 and my Sphinx Pico,
though... Still, might be worth a try. I've seen more stupid things
solve more serious problems before, so...

Regarding the humiliation the Newton might teach one:

Do this. Describe the prob you have, and all the steps undertaken, and
what they've changed or not, and what the final solution was. That's
what these obstacles are for - giving the be-obstacled Newtonian a
chance to write a how-to and give something back to the community. And
did I mention this is a good way to give something back to the
community. So there.

Cheers,

D.
