Why, exactly? What problem does it solve?
I mean, it's not going to solve the bootstrapping issue people have with
getting ethernet working, it'll have exactly the same boostrapping
problem. It won't be any faster than ethernet, it'll be a strictly
point-to-point thing not a network that can get your information from
someplace further removed that the length of the cable, and it won't
make serial applications like NCU work through a port that didn't exist
when the application was written.
