[NTLK] Want to buy or trade: Apple Airport card

Hi all,

I am in the market for an Apple Airport card. I need the old
model that will work in a G3 Pismo Powerbook, not the Airport
Extreme model.=20

I can trade for ONE of the following:

1) Apple eMate
=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D

The hinges were taken apart, cleaned, re-greased and put back
along with the washers that'll ensure this machine won't suddenly
turn into a useless paperweight due to ribbon cable puncture.=20
The eMate comes with a usable battery in "as is" condition that
I can rebuild at cost (18 Euros). Have a look here:

It seems that the display has seen hardly any usage, but it is not
scratch-free. You can see the scratches on the picture, what you don't
see are some longish "dents" (don't know how to express it better) that
are so shallow that my camera isn't able to capture them. You can=20
only see them if you look at the display from a certain angle. Neither
of the above does in my opinion impede usability of this machine.=20
To give you a better idea of what the display is like, here is a=20
closeup. The white spots are reflections from my hand and camera. The
rectangles' size is 16 x 16 pixels.=20

2) Newton MessagePad 2000
=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=

What makes this machine especially interesting is the fact that the=20
display was almost unusable when I got it. Have a look at the image
to get an idea of what good polishing paste, along with a special
polishing cloth and a whole lot of patience, can do for a Newton
display before you throw yours away.=20

This Newton comes with a usable rechargeable battery in "as is"=20
condition. Unfortunately the job that pays the rent won't give me
enough time to rebuild it at the moment. Newtie does have the port
door, but no screen lid. And it seems to be angry at me...

3) A whooping 0.1 Gigabytes of memory for your Newton
=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=
=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=
=3D=3D=3D

These are 20MB Intel linear flash memory cards that I will=20
format and test in the Newton model(s) of your choice. They=20
will be read-only in eMates.=20

If you live in Germany, I'd suggest that I pay shipping to you and
you pay shipping to me. I'd suggest the same if you live outside of
Germany and are interested in the cards. If you live outside of=20
Germany and are interested in the eMate or in the Newton, I'd suggest
we simply add the price of shipping both ways and you'n me each pay
half.=20

I will, within reason, consider trading other Newton stuff that you =
might=20
be interested in. Also, if you don't have an Airport card, but want to =
trade

for something else, why not make an offer. I will also consider buying
an Airport card if somebody is't interested in a trade, but has one=20
lying around.=20

Thanks for reading

Frank
