Well you can switch the arrows to the other side of the screen. You can
also use a package such as Dashboard or Gesture Launch to shrink the bar
to just the extras button and the arrows, which is placeable anywhere on
the screen. There is also a freeware app that does this, but the name
escapes me at the moment.
