I think this issue is due to the Newton's limited processing power and memory. You simply can not sync and upload multiple .mp3/.pkg files at once -- it just does not work. However, if you were to upload several 300k-sized apps or eBooks at a time, that would probably work. It still might take a bit of time for your Newton to digest everything. I hope this helps.

PS I hope that you were able to get the .mp3 file samples working correctly on MadMax.
