[NTLK] Pismo Bluetooth

Hello Christian,

Yes, the Pismo is cute. I put a FastMac G4/550 upgrade in it, and mounted
a Superdrive in the Matshita-DVD sled. Of course, it is limited and not
exactly a G5, but the ergonomics are very nice, in my opinion. I also
have a ZIP drive and an Imation drive, giving access to good old
disquettes (handy for the Newton software that came on disquettes).

I am using the 3Com 3CRWB6096B VERSION 3 PC Card.

A German programmer who goes by the name of Alexander Traud (<http://
www.traud.de/>) wrote the bluetooth stack for this card, with the nice
name 'card Blues Suite'. It's free.

Be sure to get the version 3 reference, the others do not work.

The good thing of the card is that it has a foldable antenna : no need to
unfold it, so you won't have some kind of protuberance hanging out of the
PC card bus.

The minus is availability (3Com stopped this reference in May this year),
as well as it's price. But it's a very nice option to have, especially
with a Bluetooth phone (Salling Clicker, BluePhone Menu :-) and with the
Newton/Blunt.

Hope this information is useful to you; best regards,

Andreas
