Re: [NTLK] Native installer for NCU and OS X Update

Hello all,

I've been reading the comments about the NCU for OS-X native applications.

I've tried Escale and find it is not a practical solution. It is very
cumbersome, buggy and lags dramatically. I applaud the effort though,
because it sets a basis for moving forward. Clayton Mitchell's NCU
for native OSX works much better under my computer configuration.

To me, I would definately pay $35-$50 and possibly more for a NCU
solution that does it all makes Backups, syncronizes with iCal / Palm
Desktop / Address books / spreadsheets / word or works docs. etc.
(decent Filemaker pro integration would be my selfish request).

Anyone who can program something like this would single handedly
revive the Newton community. And as someone who owns 3 Newtons and
loves them, would pay the programmer a fair price for the ease of use
and modernization of the Newton into the OSX platform.

I would also be quite keen to see something like Clicker (a palm /
cellphone app that controls the mac via bluetooth (through
applescript) on several levels and functions.)

Thanks,

iggie
