Help. I'm attempting to configure SimpleMail to send email over my
home network. I can retrieve mail without incident (mail.mac.com),
but I just can't send it.
My ISP directs port 25 to their server, so I use port 587 on my
desktop. I have configured the owner preferences outgoing mail to
smtp.mac.com:587 and require authentication. So why do I get the
following error:
Server Error 551, user not local.
Suggestions?
