And how about this: Could you use OpenOBEX's OBEX ftp on the PC side to
initiate the connections, send a vCal or vCard data to the newton via
Neo, then let IC/VC do the sorting?

Then could you do the vice-versa, use OBEXftp to pull the data down
from the newton via Neo and do the sorting of duplicate entries and
filing on the PC?

It seems pretty slick, using the vCal and vCard translations in IC/VC
to make the newton soup compatible with the current data types and
avoiding the translation that newtsync seems to choke on with the
address book syncing.
