Re: [NTLK] Origami (OT)

When osnew.com had run a story initially about Origami I had commented that
it looks like a newton to me (well, an evolution of one).

If you look at Origami's capabilities (big enough screen to write on, WiFi,
Bluetooth, GPS, Cellular connectivity) are something that Newton Users have
had for a while in that form factor, it isn't impressive - but we are not
the mainstream.

I think that it does look like the newton, and Apple did have the advantage
in this area already! This is sort of like the fabled "iPad" - run OS X, but
with all the benefits of the newton in terms of the UI, without many of the
limitations. BT, WiFi, GSM/UMTS(maybe), GPS embedded in a device the size of
a newton, but also have the option to "dock" to a DKM and use it as a full
personal computer... It's just amazing :-)

This is what the newton could have been - not a "digital assistant" per se
(i.e. Look at palm and windows mobile), but a full fledged computer, at your
fingertips!
