Correct. But be aware that the specified voltage of cheap
unregulated power supplies is the voltage when the supply
sees the maximum load. In other words, if you have a 7.5 Volt
1 Ampere supply, the spec says the voltage will be no less
than 7.5 Volt if you suck 1 Ampere from it. What this spec
does NOT guarantee is that the voltage is also only 7.5 Volt
if you draw next to nothing, e. g. the 60 milliAmps an idle
Newton normally needs. Chances are good that the voltage
without a or with next to no load will be much higher, beaming
your little green friend to Newton heaven within a millisecond.
