[NTLK] Rebuilt battery pack for MP100

Yaa!
I am so jazzed. I have an MP100 that has been with a dead battery for
some time. I cracked open the original Apple battery pack and removed the
dead and leaking cells. I then picked up some NiCd cells (4pk, AAA) from
Radio Shack and soldered short strips of wire to the cells, linking the
batteries as the originals were. (I know, I know, I should not solder on
batteries, but I was quick and careful not to overheat the batteries or
short something out). I then tacked the ends of the strip up to the
original internal terminals and closed it all up. The two halves of the
battery case could stand to be clamped and super glued, but I will leave it
loose for now, just in case. I checked the voltage at the leads and all
looks good.

The MP100 is now recharging the cells and seems happy. Perhaps I can now
use this thing without the tether that is the power cord. :-)
