That's true, but with iSync you'll need to think on data sync, not
apps, since iSync is there to sync mostly data you have on your
computer, like for example, iCal, eMail, Address book, Safari
bookmark, etc.

So yes, you'll need to think of serial in someway to install the
basic packages, but Newten already do a great job for this task. And
I'm not sure that integrating packages installation with iSync will
have any advantages. Why someone would like to see if any packages
have changes since the last sync?
