It's true, syncing the Newton is rough at best. I've found that
NewtSync, with my wireless card, syncs to iCal and a folder for notes
on my MacBook Pro running the newest version of Tiger. It's not
perfect (day-long events don't sync, so I put a bullet in front of
all day events now).
I can also email myself things via MailV and my .Mac account.
Not great, not seamless, but it works.
