[NTLK] Keyspan USB twin serial adaptor types

I have just bought a second adaptor as a spare to use with NCX from
Amazon vendor Microvillage (UK) and it's white instead of translucent
but with the same violet cable exit and has the product code USA-28
instead of USA-28XB (the current one on the Keyspan site looks to be
USA-28XG) but it works just as well on my PowerBook G4 and at the
higher speed of 115200. The connection is also going through PCBMan's
serial port on my MP2K.

I have also tested it on the eMate and it works normally.

It was a lot cheaper than the XB/G so it's an attractive option.
There may be subtle differences in operation between the models for
printers and other serial peripherals but for a one-trick Newton
application it probably doesn't matter.

All you have to do is plug it in, launch NCX, choose KeySerial1 from
the prefs and close the window (important) then initiate the
connection from the Newt Dock app. as usual. The drivers can be
downloaded from the Keyspan site:
