A short update:

everything that worked under MSWindow is now also implemented for
Linux and OS X. DyneTK compiles and runs on the three major platforms
now. I also added stock icons which seem to make some sense, and
fixed a few compiling issues.

Please note that there are still key elements missing from a working
replacement of NTK.

For those of you who know how to use Inspector, would you please be
so kind, download the executable, and try to connect the Newton to
the Inspector via serial port and test a few commands like "print
