Ok, I guess some background is in store...
I communicate with my newt using an IBM thinkpad 760ed running windows 98.
I use the newton connection utilities I believe, what ever came wiht the
newt for pc communications. (my newt was NIB when I got it and I have used
the CDs enclosed to do all the communications) I havent used the pc-newt
communications for a long long time now, so i cant remember.

my ultimate goal here is to get the name app info out into just that a
comma deliminated form.

I guess I will have to take some time messing around, I just didnt get that
chance over the weekend.

Well one way is by getting a copy of X-port. It is commercial software
and somewhat difficult to find at the moment. This program will move
your names to a tab or comma delimited file that you could then import
into excel for example.

You might be able to do this with Newton Connection Utilities as well.
Depending on if you have extra addons. If you do have extra addons or
slots then these may not get exported. But all the main slots/data will.
