[NTLK] Touch screen won't work on emate 300

Hey,
I was using my emate 300 in school when all the sudden the touchscreen
stopped working (i have no stylus atm and am very lightly using my
fingernail). When I tried to touch the screen a clock would come up. I tried
resetting it and when i got to the calibration menu I everytime i tried it
it repeats the calibration process again. So I try closing the lid on the
calibration screen and power it up and it produces an "error" and lets me
use it again (sometimes the touchscreen works here) and the next time i
power it off/close the lid and open it it goes to the calibration screen.
SOMETIMES the calibration will work but usually it will not, and either way
i have to reset it and make it produce the error to use it again.

does anyone know what could be wrong with it?
