You could also do other things, like don't backup to a Windows machine,
change your pin number frequently, store your journal on a card and don't
store the card in the Newton, store the entire package inside a gun safe for
which you have the only key.

There are other more paranoid solutions, but you get the picture. Security
solutions are fairly simple, but only if you follow the basic principals.
Keep secrets, well, secret.
